Chan Si Gong - Silk Reeling

Description

Silk Reeling uses the same posture principle as Standing Post, but adds the rotational movement that is generated from the lower core (dantian). Limbs only move when compelled by the core dantian. At the same time, energy and heat moves from core to back to hand/feet and return. Legs clearly shift the body weight from one side to the other. Silk Reeling generates a great amount of heat when done correctly, even on high stance, due to its energy component. It also stretches the hip joint tendons to increase flexibility, circulation, and longevity. Silk Reeling is the foundation of all the forms, since every posture of every form is done with Silk Reeling movement principle.
